◆ FAQ
Straight answers.
Do I need an rpc edge key?
Not for browser tools on this page. The priority-fee estimator can use a public RPC or an endpoint you type. Production bots should use a paid key via /toolkit (CLI, SDK, MCP).
How is /tools different from /toolkit?
/tools is free browser utilities with no signup. /toolkit is the open MIT install surface for bots and agents: npx rpcedge doctor, TypeScript SDK, and MCP. Paper refs (copy-ref, dlmm-ref) prove first traffic after doctor is green.
Do these tools invent latency numbers?
No. They report what the chosen endpoint returns from your browser path. That is not the same as co-located first-seen or landing metrics - use solbench on the edge for those.
What is shipping next?
Roadmap notes include an RPC latency grader and a gRPC bandwidth estimator. Until they ship, the honest list is what you see above - not a fake catalog.
